Reference Architecture (Vocabularies)
All project partners have worked within the framework of architectural work groups on the most general possible interface descriptions. The integration process in the workgroups includes the delineation of the individual subcomponents of an application, the specification of the data required by the applications as well as their meaningful structuring and data formats.
The resultant so-called RDF vocabularies allow the machine-readable representation of resources using the RDF data model. The specification of the vocabularies follows the rules defined by the W3C and standardized rules for distributed, service-oriented applications.
For many basic elements of an application, e.g. Geometric transformations, scene graph manipulations, control of virtual human models, data transformation, etc., RDF vocabularies have been developed that can be used in their own applications and can also be expanded if desired.
